The benefits of becoming endorsed

Every homelessness service is different, and every dog is different.

Whatever your set-up, becoming endorsed through our scheme is completely free and accessible for any homelessness service.

Here are just a few of the benefits of working with us to become endorsed:

Expert advice - we have expert teams at Dogs Trust to provide advice on anything from dog behaviour to pet policies.

Free vet care - any dogs living in your service will be able to access free vet care through our vet scheme, helping ensure dogs accessing your service are happy and healthy.

Supportive team - our friendly Together Through Homelessness team is on hand to answer any questions or concerns you may have throughout the time you're endorsed with us.

Varied resources - you'll be able to access resources and information on all the different aspects of having dogs in your service.

Doggie items - we'll provide you with a complete starter pack of all the doggie essentials you need to welcome your first four-legged residents.

Experienced team - we've been running our endorsement scheme for more than 20 years. This means we've got lots of experience dealing with different situations.

Move-on support - we'll provide tailored resources for accessing dog-friendly accommodation in the private rented sector through our Lets with Pets scheme.

Online directory - we'll add you to our online directory of dog-friendly services with a 'Welcoming Dogs endorsed' sticker so dog owners know that you've worked with us to develop responsible dog-friendly policies.

"We found the endorsement process user-friendly, and the way we were guided through the information and the walk through the service helped us plan ahead of dog arrivals.

We love that a welcome pack of essentials is provided by Dogs Trust. It is all part of the warm welcome we want people to have coming here, including pet owners."
